A Research Committee is typically set up with a clearly defined goal to be achieved within a designated period of time (usually 3 years). There are two types of research committees: Project Research Committees and Strategy Research Committees.
Project Research Committees typically carry out actual research on specified issues.
Strategy Research Committees deal with strategic research to be further expanded upon by the academic society as a whole.
The Project Research Committee actually carries out a research on a specified problem in a limited period.
