Dear Maritime Engineers in Asia
I, as for the chairman of the organizing committee, welcome you to the 3rd general meeting of Pan Asian Association of Maritime Engineering Societies (PAAMES) and Advanced Maritime Engineering Conference 2008 (AMEC2008) to be held during October 20~22, 2008, in Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
The 1st PAAMES meeting was held in October 2004 in Shanghai, in conjunction with the 4th New S-Tech Conference. The International Standing Committee of the 1st PAAMES decided to change the name of the New S-Tech Conference to AMEC in order to widen the scope and to strengthen the link with PAAMES. The AMEC2006 was held in Cheju National University in Jeju Island, Korea in October 2006, concurrently with the 2nd PAAMES meeting. The AMEC2008 will be held in Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan in October 2008, after the 3rd PAAMES meeting.
You are cordially invited to the 3rd PAAMES and the AMEC2008, to join the technical conference, where you can exchange scientific information and share the view on the development of maritime engineering. Would you join the 3rd PAAMES and the AMEC2008, and meet the leading scientists and engineers, and build up networks among specialists in Pan Asian Region?
I am looking forward to meeting all of you in Makuhari Messe in October 2008.
