  World NAOE Forum 2015
– Energy Diversification and Ships –

Date: 7th December, 2015 (Monday), 9:15-19:00

Venue: Hotel Granvia Hiroshima, Japan

Organized by the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers (JASNAOE).
Jointly hosted by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA),
The Japan Institute of Marine Engineering (JIME),
Japan Institute of Navigation (JIN).
Supported by the Pan Asian Association of Maritime Engineering Societies (PAAMES).
Sponsored by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK).

Significant growth in the utilization of new types of energy such as hydrogen is anticipated in the near future. It is hoped that this may lead to a reduction in the emissions of NOx, SOx, and greenhouse gases—an issue of urgency for global environmental protection. However, new technology will be required for the transportation and usage of these new energy types as fuel. The World NAOE Forum 2015 will focus on the possibility of new energy types and the solutions to the problems facing naval architecture and ocean engineering.
